When I bought this album back in '93 I thought this player was on his way to jazz superstardom. He is an astonishing player, sort of a more straight ahead Pat Metheny.Some have compared him to Pat Martino. Some of his blistering fretwork reminds me of Al Di Meola. I do not know about his subsequent work but this album has an intense coolness about it. Highly recomended for anyone who likes guitar jazz and needs to chill out.
